MESSAGE: 2002 AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI CONVENTION

I encourage all graduates of Australian Universities to attend the 2002 Australian Universities Alumni Convention in Melbourne on 5-7 September 2002.

Our most productive international and domestic networks are often those between individuals and communities who share common experiences, interests and goals. The theme of the 2002 Convention, "Networking in the Knowledge Economy", reflects the growing importance of these personal connections. It also highlights the ability of new technologies to promote international networks amongst businesses and most importantly, amongst people.

The 2002 AUIAC will bring together a range of distinguished speakers to discuss corporate, social and educational issues in the knowledge economy and will provide a rare opportunity for networking with fellow alumni from and around the world; reinvigorating relationships with student mates and Alma Maters.

The Convention is certain to make a unique contribution to Australia's relationships internationally on an individual level and also to discussions on some of the most important social, economic and international policy issues facing us today.
